NA Chairman holds talks with Speaker of Moroccan lower house

HÀ NỘI — Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Vương Đình Huệ and Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives Habib El Malki agreed to increase people-to-people exchanges during talks held via videoconference on Wednesday.

They also agreed to offer more mutual support for each other at regional and international forums.

The two leaders said their countries should step up bilateral trade and investment while boosting investment promotion and business matching activities.

They expressed their delight that the Vietnamese co妹妹unity in Morocco has integrated well into the local society.

Both sides also agreed to maintain close coordination at multilateral forums and support each other’s stances on regional and international issues of co妹妹on concern.

Chairman Huệ said Việt Nam is ready to serve as a gateway for Morocco to enhance cooperation with other ASEAN countries.

In response, El Malki said his country is also willing to act as a bridge for Việt Nam to intensify its partnership with African nations.

He added as Việt Nam has recorded major development achievements, including in the automobile and aerospace industries, Morocco wishes to reinforce ties with the Southeast Asian nation in these fields.

Morocco is also ready to share its success stories in developing agriculture and renewable energy like wind and solar power with Việt Nam, he added.

Meanwhile, the top legislator of Việt Nam voiced his belief that based on sound political ties, the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries will flourish more strongly for the sake of their people as well as for peace, stability, and development in each country, their respective regions, and the world as a whole. — VNS
